Some Past Projects
1. Home at Last: Hmong People in the Ozarks
A half hour documentary film about a remarkable group of people from the highlands of Laos who came to the US as refugees after the Vietnam War. In the early 2000s, a number of them relocated to NW Arkansas and NE Oklahoma. Many bought poultry farms. This film by Judy Luna and Steve Sevic explores their history and the challenges they face in their new environment. Visit the film website and Like us on Facebook.
2. UATV Then and Now
A two piece series on the student-run TV station at the University of Arkansas. Copies of these pieces can be seen on YouTube by clicking Then or Now. Judy Luna wrote, directed and produced the pieces; Tony Cosgrove shot and edited them.
3. Peabody Hall Restoration
A brief history of Peabody Hall on the campus of the University of Arkansas on the occasion of its rededication after a complete restoration. Also touches on the past and present of the "laboratory school" in the College of Education at the U of A.
For projects requiring historical images, Judy also has experience with acquiring images from the National Archives and other sources of file video and photographs.
